Xboard Relay Analog PINS for Non-Garage Doors

Postby bobtabin » Mon Nov 30, 2015 3:15 pm

I am currently using the Xboard Relay to monitor and control my single garage door. I would like to know if I could use 3 other analog pins to monitor-only 3 regular doors for their open/close status. I do not intend on controlling anything other than the already controlled single garage door. I know your instructions state the Xboard Relay can monitor/control 2 garage doors, but that's because it only houses two on-board relays. Although, which of the other ANALOG pins are active AND I should be able to modify the code to monitor 4 doors (1 garage door monitor/control and 3 regular doors monitor only), correct?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, the Xboard Relay is just a regular Arduino with 2 relays. So you could indeed monitor as many I/O pins as desired. You will need to slightly change the Arduino sketch code to suit your needs, but it shouldn't pose any problems.
