Relay Hookup

Postby redcaesar » Tue Sep 24, 2013 7:18 pm

Anyone else have one of the newer smart wall units that operate lights, detect motion, lock out remotes etc?
Well recently noticed that when I trigger my door opener via relay that shorts the two wires going to the wall unit the wall unit loses power and its settings are lost. Just wonder if there is way to maybe wire relay to contacts in unit or maybe another way to wire so this doesn't happen.

I have chamberlain c198 motion detecting smart wall control.

Another option I'm considering is wiring relay to spare remote control.

Firgured this out... Was able to solder directly to smare remote button. Going to try now and hook up additional relays for Lockout buttons which I think I can control from myopener app version 3.0.
