If you take that exact URL and paste it in your Safari browser on your iPhone, what do you see?
It must not be an HTML page (it has to be a JPG or PNG file). It must also not be password protected.

If all is working, that image's URL should be used as source and should be displayed for that device
in the app's status page.

OK so I am able to get a picture within the network with
url:port/axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?resolution=640x480

If I replace the url with my dyndns address it does not work wherever I add my password to.

user:pass@url:port/axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?resolution=640x480 doesn’t work
url:port/axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi?resolution=640x480user=user&pass=pass doesn’t work

of course the port is forwarded to the cam in the router.

any ideas on how to make the axis cam work over dyndns? I really dont want to use the axis dynamic ip hoster.

Hi,

If you paste that URL inside your iPhone's Safari web browser, what does it do? Doesn't it prompt for authentication? Does it display the expected image?

I suggest you ask this question on some Axis community support forum, as you'd probably have more chances to get your issue resolved.

I don't think this is related with the MyDoorOpener app per say.

Good luck!
